The 33rd Congressional district is one of the most diverse districts in the United States. It encompasses Culver City, the unincorporated neighborhoods of Ladera Heights, View Park and Windsor Hills, and all or portions of the following Los Angeles neighborhoods: Mid-Wilshire, Hollywood, West Adams, Hancock Park, Koreatown, Echo Park, Silver Lake and Los Feliz. According to 2000 census data, the district has a median age of 32.7 and is 35% Latino, 32% White, 30% Black and 12% Asian. The election for the democratic nomination for the 33rd Congressional district will take place on June 8, 2010.
